Dash cam video from FD staff vehicle. North St. Louis County firefighters assisted the driver of an automobile that had driven up an embankment and was at it's tipping point. Firefighters used an air bag and stabilizing struts to keep the vehicle from tipping over while the driver was assisted from the vehicle. The driver was not injured in the accident.

  • What was with pulling the guy out of the vehicle like that. How about securing him to a board first

  • The "guy" in the vehicle was not injured and was uncooperative. He attempted to crawl out through the window and the firefighters grabbed him under the arms, at that point the "guy" kicked the vehicle with his foot, knocking the firefighters backward.

  • what was that cop complaning about?

  • The officer wanted me to put my vehicle at an angle to better block the road, which I did.

  • The guy was ok, 30 yrs ago a couple guys would have hung on the up hill side and hooked to the car and pulled it back onto the roadway and the guy could have been on his way with out all the fan farei

  • I agree. However it's 2009 now and everything is safety, safety, safety.

  • At least one of those stabilizing struts wasn't secured at the base.

  • The guy must have a health problem like diabetes or blood pressure. People don't just run off the road.

Bet my Jeep could have jerked it out and put him back on the road, but maybe he was too messed up to be driving.

  • @TheRaveClinic becasue the city gets free money from their slaves

  • what's the problem here, I don't understand why there so much police/firefighter activity over nothing

  • Where is the part where they rescue the car?

  • ok i do not get this ... what was the safety issue ... open the door and pull the guy out it would not roll over from doing that the door actually would have helped it to not roll over ....

  • Seems like a lot of work for a minor accident. Talk about embarassing!
