can anyone please explain to me why she didn't get any credit for the triple double combination at 4:58 the announcer explained a little but im still really confused.

@kewljanjan I think it's because she repeated the same combination as she had done previously. Enacted in 1982, the “Zayak Rule,” states that a skater may not perform the same kind of triple jump more than twice, and for it to be given full credit on both occasions, one of the two triples must be incorporated into a combination or sequence. But since they were both identical and in competition, I am guessing it does not count. Hope that helps! :)

scott is totally right. if she could just keep it together on the jumps she would be an amazing skater and really tough to beat because of everything else in her program. everything else is there, she just needs to get the jumps. and brian is right. she should keep at it until she gets it and NEVER leave with regrets. i hope she goes to sochi in 2014!!!!

Sadness! I wanted her to do well SO much :( I hope she take's Boitano's advice and can leave without regrets. At least I know she's coming back next year :D

This is actually a great skate, great costume too. Everybody is like "Boo-hoo, she lost" but she's currently ranked 2nd in the world in the ISU rankings.
