Hi music fans, music director Hamsalekha is a highly talented music director. He has composed some great songs for Tamil movies and most of his songs were runaway hits. Hamsalekha strength lies in the extensive use of violins & several string instruments in his works not to mention chorus. Songs from this movie were chartbusters during the late 80's. 'Paruva Ragam' movie had many songs and most of them were hits in both languages Tamil & Kannada in which the movie were made.

The song has a peculiar background, it is Juhi Chawala's first day at her college. She is being welcomed & warned by the Principal, teased by college students, enquired by professor all in a casual & comical manner and most interestingly all in a song. The tune is so catchy that you barely notice that English as-a-second-language lyrics from Vairamuthu. One wonders when English replaced Tamil or replacing Tamil in todays film songs.
