For the first time in history, the U.S. may appoint a female Attorney General. Lt. Gen. Ann Dunwoody still needs to be approved by the Senate. But as Katie Couric comments, she deserves to be saluted.
The reporter was the one who asked about the "brass ceiling." Another, or the same, i'm not sure, reporter also asked about a 1975 report. Gen. Dunwoody joined the army in 1975 and the report was done in 1979. I think the reporters needed to have read a little more before going to the press conference. I think it shows how important people think the event was considering how "knowledgeable" the reporters were sent.
