Great tune John..
It's almost a sort of, um, piano composition in a way..
Interesting how (play it back immediately as it ends and you'll notice how) he speeds up as he goes..
which is no criticism; it's as if the piece his exciting him more and more as it goes on.. etc..

look at the vid at around 2:15 - 2:20. there is a black woman sitting beside a white woman. that should get that "segrigated" conversation out of the way.

this is the first fahey song i ever heard, and i've yet to hear one better by any musician including him. i love this song.

I was just joking about the segregated bit,the big hat seems to make her face appear very dark but i would say she was white.

Then you have a vision problem. She is obviously black. I don't think segregation was really starting to be enforced until the 1930s.

I think I might have thought she was black because she might have black gloves on. If the case is that they're both white, then I would guess that were less curteous to the other lady because she was fatter than the other lady.
