I first fell in love with Anne Bancroft in 1956 when I was 17 and she starred on TV in the Lux Video Theater drama "The Hired Wife." Later, who can forget her TV special singing "You Say Potato" without changing the pronunciation of a single word: potato was always potato. Brilliant. I remain in love to this day. What a talent!

Sharp, versatile actress who actually looked like Anne Sullivan. That's my chief recollection of her.

I love this woman....! A true beauty, talent, and inspiration.....I always said, when she was here with us, that I would love to have dinner with her and Mr. Mel Brooks.....a dram of mine that I knew would never happen, but it was a dream. Maybe, God will let it be so one day. Until then, you tube will have todo. This is splended, although it makes me weepy for things undone. What a lovely couple.
