浪花灯り (Naniwa Akari)

Please enjoy Teresa's performance of "浪花灯り(Naniwa Akari)", meaning "The Light in 浪花(Naniwa) (Osaka)", originally sung by 川中美幸 (Kawanaka Miyuki). 岸本健介 (Kishimoto Kensuke) composed the song, and 吉岡治 (Yoshioka Osamu) wrote the lyrics.


The Japanese lyrics are based on Naniwa (Osaka) dialect and accent, and non-Japanese speaking people who are learning Japanese language may feel it difficult to understand the Japanese used in the lyrics.
A woman sings about her love for the light (red lanterns) irradiating people at Hozenji Yokochou, a busy steet along the Hohzenji temple, in Naniwa at night.
