  • `Y didnt you get tdv8 sounds amazing

  • @TopGearrules Yeah but the 2.7 is a DIESEL....big difference. I'd like to see a 2.7L V6 gas engine try to make the same HP with the same TQ.

  • @LVGshultz LOL thats nothing to be proud of... a 3 litre difference and you only have 5ft-lbs more? I just find it shocking how mainly american engines are soo much bigger and fuel consuming, while european engines have the same power while being smaller, thus less fuel consumption! My Jaguar S type has the same engine as this (be it a little lighter than the land rover) and it gets 30mpg in town and 50mpg on the motorway. Although i have to admit the mustang V8 in the MG ZT 260 was peach.

  • @TopGearrules Sadly, you're wrong. Torque figures from a TDV6 are 325ft-lbs, torque figures from the 5.7L V8 in my SUV, are 330 ft-lbs. The peak torque in the 5.7L is at 2800 RPM, with most of it being available under 2200RPM. Oh and considering it's a big V8 in a brick (aerodynamics wise) that weighs over 2 tons, I see 16MPG city and 20MPG highway, so learn some facts before you start speaking.

  • @LVGshultz Underpowered? Well lets me honest here, i bet the torque figures from a land rover diesel will beat your crummy american metal box, meaning more of the power is there when you need it (ie off road). Plus in the UK we dont have cars which do 1 mile to the gallon and have a rubbish power to size'd engine. I hope you can see what im talking about!

  • @goahedkillme yes same TDV6 2.7L

  • hi ^^ range rover sport is the same with land rover disco 3 ? answer me plz ^^
