ZOMBIE GOD -- GLORIOUS!! (myZombie in Atlas pose)

I sculpted this zombie in Zbrush-- I paid particular attention to his mouth, which is a separate hi-rez subtool. He is fully UV mapped, using Roadkill, and has a rudimentary texture which I painted in Photoshop and ZAppLink. I rendered the model with HDR / IBL, and added the Genarts Sapphire glow in After Effects. This was one of my first attempts at digital sculpting in Zbrush-- I tried to get the anatomy correct-- the zombie has a great latissimus dorsi and sternocletomastoids--

this was made for a class at Gnomon: Character Creation for Games.
my instructor hated everything I did, but oh well. I wanted to do a demonic Zeul-like dog instead, but was shut down-- no quadrapeds allowed.

The mouth subtool is way too high rez for the character to ever be used in a game. I also did not "re-surface" the character in Silo, for lack of time, so his underlying polygon topology is a mess. I used Crazybump for a bump/normal map, but I think it ended up doing more harm than good, making his skin very faceted, and revealing the UV seams-- oh well, at least he has cool-looking veins
