@fernando405 Indeed. WW2 doesn't fit the TW series. The games are all about massive battles, where you must think and strategise a lot.

WW2 would just make it an RTS game, where you require almost no skill at all, you just rush the enemy with tanks, infantry and artillery.

But I think we can be pretty sure they are not going to do that. Judging by the contents of FOTS, the next one will probably be about the Scramble of Africa or the American Civil War. Either one of those, or Rome 2.

the latest period for TW to work would propably be around 1870, bacause after that you have bolt-action rifles with magazines, which in turn make charges a cuicide

Not really but close, this game takes place prior to the events of the film "The Last Samurai". FoTS takes place during the Boshin War and the Meiji Restoration where as the movie was about the Satsuma Rebellion which take place almost a decade later.

@BlackTemplar43 I totally missed some gameplay "Total War: Shogun 2 - Fall of the Samurai Video Preview" It was on gamespot. Im a little mixed with the feeling. Did you see it yet?

@BlackTemplar43 Ya but the prob might be is campers. Lets think they do a noob thing and just put it as right in the middle of the fire arc of the ships guns.Lets not argue without more details. Its feels weird really. How can we say for sure that they will do what we say? I say lets hold of the arguments about it until we have more details on whats in the game. The only thing I know for sure they talked about is the Gatling gun will be in a third person view like an arcade shooter. which is bs.
