That is one of the most poorly executed water rescues I have ever seen. Not one person on shore had a life jacket, and the "rescuers" did not have their's on properly.
Wrong boat for the situation, poor use of the ropes. The victim, rescuers and fire department were lucky no one died that day.
C'mon fellas, get some swiftwater training!!!

The community should get behind their emergency responders and help them get a suitable boat for swiftwater rescue such as a Zodiac or Mercury inflatable much more forgiving. Low frequency high risk calls kill rescuers and victims. Glad to see everyone come ok alright. @cabokid59 we just did a rescue of a lady that drove between traffic barrels and into the river cause she thought she could make it cause her car fit in the gap.

@cabokid59 haven't we all at some times done something extremely stupid, i'm glad the guy is okay, i doubt he will try crossing a river again though
-
Why do people drive across swollen rivers I guess they don't know cars flood when the water reaches the floor

Way to go Mitzy and Hunter! He is lucky that you were there to call 911 for him or it could have ended badly. What the heck was this guy thinking?!!!
-
Looks like the city of speedy creek had better raise taxes so they can buy a new rescue boat.
They had better get a stronger rope to use with it as well.

Yay rescue crew !

the guy did pretty good, sunk his car AND the boat
thank you for your comments on this video, the rescuers requested a copy of my videos and are using them for training purposes. It was the first water rescue they had ever had to execute, I applaud them for their efforts, at least everyone was ok and alive, even if it wasn't pretty.

Our neighbor's son got stranded on the low level crossing, we were the first on scene and called 911. Very quick response of the Swift Current Rescue Team saved him from washing down the creek.
