Living in the densely forested Colorado Rockies in a small mountain community has enabled Danielle to observe and enjoy the local wildlife and beautiful surroundings right off her front deck.
Danielle is one of many diverse self-taught naturally talented young artists in the area and she has taken additional art classes to improve her techniques. She has many projects going on at any given time.
Many projects she has worked on have been donated to the Longmont Humane Society for their silent and live auction black tie event each year and bring in a generous portion of their donations for the shelter.
Among the many talents Danielle favors and possesses include Gourd art Pyrography (Wood burning) and is what got her started. The demand for creating commission pieces increased with queries of "can you put this on a gourd?" and Danielles answer was "lets try it and see". It worked beautifully.
Her tile art took off after the remodeling of her bathroom whereby she discovered she could carve on soft tile such as slate and other workable materials.
The wildlife then came to life in her new bathroom and she decided other clients might like something as unique.
Watercolors, acrylics, and some oil paintings fall in line next. Danielle really enjoys painting special subjects for clients who would love a portrait of their favorite pet. This has more meaning as to why she paints and for that matter all her artwork falls into this category.
