angels are dead...

@youlookaroused Lynch loves to see women crying

Is it just me or is this quite similar to the 'Club Silencio' scene in Mulholland Drive?

@thecodewerks what I think is that the red room (also called 'the waiting room') is made to think about all the bad things that Laura did, during a period of time (25 years). After that, Laura has already had time to regret about the facts which took her apart from the right path and, actually, she does. So she deserves a good ending. That's why she's overwhelmed: she finally has her angel back with her again.

@thecodewerks i agree with you, she didn't fear when she was in that Black Lodge so she can go in the White Lodge

Thanks DreamsofSpring
@countturrack I don't believe it to be maniacal laughter. I think she was simply overwhelmed with happiness because she is being freed/unburdened from all of the sorrow, despair, and agony that was her life. I think the angel was there to take her away from all the pain.

@biggiebiggie6338 I'm not religious at all, but I took this ending to mean that Laura finally realized in her last moments that she was indeed brave and good, even though she did a lot of things that were "bad" and judged herself for them during her life. Despite everything she was the polar opposite of Bob, and he could not get to her anymore. This ending gets to me every time.
