@FighterAttacks It sounded like atleast in some parts they were saying "Bett" instead of "Bette"- It seems to me me that the French habitually leave out certain sounds in words. But that's just what I think! :D

@kikiladoucette Perhaps in France it may be so...spelling changes aside she was christened ELizabeth and nicknamed Betty...and this is her name. ...so it should be pronounced correctly no matter the spelling. or the country...She HATED being called Bet by all accounts.
Her mother, Ruth Favor Davis had some French ancestry, Favor being anglicized From Favre.

Vowels on the ends of words are not typically pronounced in French except in song. So they are saying "Bette" but not pronouncing the "e" at the end.
