left to give them and the statue was just the ugly stone that had been gilded underneath. The swallow had been wanting to leave so he could migrate after he finished helping the statue but he had become friends with the statue and didn't want to leave him. So the swallow stayed until the end of his life. Sad story but this reel made me think of it. x3;
