  • Hey there, thank you for being interested in my movie which I did three years before DRUMLINE. To get it, call 313-412-6552 and ask for David. When you talk to him, let him know you also would like to see it on Amazon.

And after you get the movie, let me know what you think..... DDL

  • 2:17?? That wasn't in the movie!

  • Yes it was..

  • You mean the other way around. My movie was filmed three years before Drumline. Their movie came out in 2002. Mine was released in 1999.

  • I would love to see this movie re-recorder with a little nit higher budget even if it remains independent. It's weird because right before I heard about this movie, I was thinking that I would love to make or move or have someone make one with exact story line. And oh yeah 2:17 was not in my copy of movie either

  • I'ill comment since I'm sure others have not seen it. This movie is much more realistic . It just had a much lower budget like maybe Spike Lee first movie. I can also say Drumline is not an exact copy. It doesn't look like someone who read or stole the script. Looks more like someone skimmed through movie, watched part of the movie, or stood outside watching a movie from the window. It's more like ideas and scenes were stolen not whole movie. Some scenes are too similar or exact same scense

  • @darryldlassiter Something happened to my copies of the movie, and I need some new copies

  • I read somewhere that there wa a lawsuit going on between the director of this movie and Drumline as the makers of Drumline basically took this concept. Is that lawsuit still pending? What happened?

  • definately not the best band in the world lol...all about dem MEAC bands.

  • ahh, crabbing...lol

  • Hey Darryl, You probably don't know or remember me. I am Denise sister from Lanier High. I found out about this movie today from a mutual friend. I've read up on some of your work but didn't know about this one. In spite of how it went down, your depiction of a University Marching Band is more realistic. I hope you still have copies because I want one...

    Tell your brother Hi!

  • Yeah. I heard about this movie way before talks of Drumline ever came up. Drumline had the money but this film seems more realistic.
