About Tom & Joyce
This young parisian possee released their first track 'Vai Minha Tristezza' in January 1999 on Yellow Productions in France. THOMAS NAIM and his cousin JOYCE have always been attracted to the most beautiful Bossa Nova, the classic masters such as Antonio Carlos Jobim and Vinicius De Moraes, and the adventurous Jazz Fusion of the 70's. They have recently opened up to new musical tendencies like the NU acid jazz scene with Jazzanova, Neon Phusion, or Rainer Truby Trio. With their first production they ended up making a big splash...
Radio Nova (France) gives it a major airplay and the best DJ's of the latin fusion scene as Gilles Peterson put it on the top of their playlist. Even François K. from Wave Music fell captive to the brazilian feeling and modern style of 'Vai Minha Tristezza'. He made the rare decision to release it on his legendary label in USA.
The original version of 'Vai Minha Tristezza' is included in Yellow Production's major project for that year, "BOSSA TRES JAZZ...When Japan meets Europe". For this occasion, TOM also created an instrumental track which proves his ability to explore a wide range of music. 'Illusion' is a unique combination of abstract music and latin style.
In the US, the original version is included on the second installment of the immensely popular series 'Body&SOUL Vol.II' and the 'Bossa Mundo' album features a remix by François K. and Eric Kupper.
After many successful remixes for SILENT POETS, JIVA STAR, ATJAZZ and more recently MONDO GROSSO or RAE & CHRISTIAN, TOM & JOYCE are now about to offer us their very first eagerly anticipated album....

Tom & Joyce are the BOMB! this is coming from an old school Loft/Garage die hard
who has been out of the club scence for decades. If Francois K. endorsed them, that is a definite stamp of approval. Francois K. has been down since the beginning.
These Parisiens are the real deal.
