He is the reason i decided to write The Runaway, which is inspired by Aerosmith's Janie's Got a Gun and my PI is somewhat inspired by Patrick Kenzie, but in a Leather Jacket like Shaft and has that Steve McQueen coolness.
Anyways, cool that you like Lehane, who is awesome and i think you should also try Linda Barnes, another beantown writer who i find very intresting. her last book form '07, Lie Down With The Devil is just awesome. But there's alot mentioned about the rest of the series.

Dennis Lehane of one of my favorite authors from my hometown. What i like about his books is that he really makes them raw and gritty. He shows that ugliness of the working class and the blue color neighborhoods and does not bother to set them in Beacon Hill or or The Back Bay and have Patrick in a condo and sports car and tail angie be a wine drinking upper class hussy.

sexy asian, dennis rocks too.

yeah, it really makes it easier to understand the plot if you do. And if you read them out of order, it spoils the endings of the ones that come earlier in the series.

i love the makeup in this one =D
the orange shadow with nude gloss lips give a really nice warm summery feel hehe
And FYI, "A Drink Before the War" is the first book in the series, not "Darkness, Take My Hand"
