The current incarceration crisis - a disaster in the making - suggests a return to Judicial Corporal Punishment for some offenders. Justly and wisely applied Judicial Corporal Punishment has worked everywhere they've tried it, while prison usually fails to rehabilitate or deter crimes.

  • Mass incarceration IS that bad. Yes, I am recommending it be enacted as legislation and provide one additional tool for our systems of justice. It took me a whole year of research to get used to the idea, but the evidence was too strong. Judicial corporal punishment was favored by George Washington as a general on his largely white troops; and with it he won our freedom for us.

  • Good question, and I will answer in case it is addressed to me. No, I am not a sadist. It is less cruel to impose judicial corporal punishment than to lock someone up in a sick, dangerous, violent environment with other criminals. Prison deprives people of healthy social contacts, families, churches, communities, jobs and spouses; judicial corporal punishment allows offenders to return immediately to society, and is thus much less destructive, expensive and wasteful. • @JohnDewarGleissner John this is an interesting subject and one i believe should be carefully considered .I think judicial CP could be highly effective but my main cautions would be the possibilites of overuse and abuse and the severity of the whippings themselves . It might seem like a silly question but how much is too much ? Where would the line be drawn as to how many lashes are given ? Should we allow Judges or Medical Experts to make those decisions ?

  • I take it that you are using the examples from scripture as simply examples and are not suggesting that they be mandated ?

  • You are sir, another dirty filthy christian corporal punishment pervert.

  • are you a sadist?

  • as long as credit card debt aint punishable lol

  • Id take licks to stay out of jail as long as they were not like singapore and doubt Id make the same mistake again

  • This guy needs to READ the Constitution, The Bill of Rights and then the TENS of Thousands of laws and court ruling that VIOLATE our individual rights and protections for Maritime and commerce laws that WE, the politically unconnected are subjected to. The People need to EDUCATE themselves on how our gov't was designed to operate and WORK to RESTORE it vs coming up with STUPID ideas this IDIOT has. Wait until this IDIOT becomes victimized by the corrupted courts then REALITY will set in.

  • As long as The Public is the AUTHORITY and not government run courts that have usurped our Constitutional laws for Admiralty and commerce laws that treat citizens without benefit of political connections like commodities and whereby OUR property belongs to the Gov't for taking by their thugs w/guns for Overtaxation, fines & fees to BUY BACK our Freedom & liberties
