@Gauzl We still use older aircraft like the F/A-18, A-10 and F-16 just like the Russians use older aircraft. Fun fact: Most of the Russian military is outdated compared to the US.

@Gauzl Why are they best? Because of thrust vectoring? The F-35 is way more cost effective for AA and AG. Also it can be deployed in any way due to it's three variants(Possibly two if the cancel the F-35C variant for the Navy). It is also stealth, just like them and is still very maneuverable comparing to the other aircraft in the world. Just because we have the F-22 and the Russians and etc have the SU-37 and Pak-Fa does not mean it is the only aircraft the F-35 will dogfight with.
