I stopped on the way home tonight to test out some timelapse action on the 7D. Rush hour in Los Angeles is pretty when you're not actually in the traffic. It's looking pretty promising. I love how the lights in the buildings turn on and off. :)

Used a Canon 7D and crappy EF-S 18-55mm that I got on Craigslist. I didn't want to do any color correction for just a quick test so I used the Velvia Picture Style for insanely saturated colors. Used Quicktime to patch the individual pics together and threw the music together quickly in Reason. Assembled everything in Final Cut.

  • what where the camera settings???? 1 sec exposure???? 1 second shutter???? I am going to shoot something for a music video and this is exactly what I need.

  • how did you shoot the timelapse? any tools used? a number of still images put together in FCPro ? curious .... i live in LA too and want to shoot a timelapse on my 7D
