His peaceful voice reminds me of what prayer is: a tool for manifesting. When we praise God for his goodness, God is good. When we ask God to help us fight disease, we are telling ourselves to fight disease. It's good to fight disease because through our human body we can become closer and closer to God. God is the disease; disease is the person's karma to have the disease. The person and the disease and the karma are God.

I feel completely detached from my own self when I study science, particularly astronomy and cosmology. Suddenly my brain is a tool with which to understand what is beyond humanity and beyond this speck called Earth, rather than a tool with which to live as an individual. And when all thoughts are about reality itself and the cosmos, one forgets suffering and pain. Knowledge is attained. Peace is attained.
