Neither Humperdinck nor Wette ever intendend Chipmunk-Angels, a flat forrest, a witch with nude breasts or a tiny gingerbread house as seen at this awful Covent Garden production.

As I commented on another thread, the new production at the Garden is one of the best I've seen - intelligent, witty, frightening and very faithful to the intentions of the brothers Grimm. They never wrote for children and neither did Humperdinck.
