i cant believe I found this!!!! I watched it when I was a child in Poland and it was called "Dzieci Syriusza" and I couldnt find it anywhere, especially not knowing the original title. But thanks to the interwebs I found it now and Im getting chills while watching! never estimate the memories of a child! I am glad to see how many of you had similar experiences:) We are Children of The Dog Star forever!:)

@lamariska Same here! I found the series by googling series Gretchen alien farm because i remembered that thing on the barn calling Gretchen a lot. Not sure if i remembered correctly though. It was like a whispering call to Gretchen, that and the thing on the roof i remembered.

It was aired in The Netherlands as well. I've looked for ages to find the name of the show that terrified me so much when I was about 8. I was never in luck, because in my memory it was a metal rose on that roof. I just watched it and still got shivers at 2:55.

I used to hide behind the couch when this was on TV. It's not like I got scared quickly, considering some of the movies I watched and games I played, but something about this series always raised my hair.
