Well ... it's a part of their morning routine.

By the way, these two have one thing in common, and it's not their gender. They both carry genes that produce white lions.

The male has fathered white lion cubs, although he is not white.

The lioness (yes, lioness) is white because she received genes for white color from both her father and her mother.

  • Great video. Why does the lioness look like a male?

  • She has grown a mane due to hormone problems associated with aging. (She is 18 years old, which is old for lions.)

    This also happens occasionally in the wild, and scientists are trying to learn more about the exact causes.
