I find that it is the intent behind words that matter. For a person to call somebody an actress I find is just superfluous because you almost always use the word 'she' as well. The word actor words perfectly well as a unisex term but it isnt used.
Living languages constantly evolve, if the language is evolving in a way you don't like, then you can speak however you chose, although I would ask you do not try to impose your views onto others(not to say you are, but it looks like you're close)

I'm using the word "She" to make a point. For you it sounds out of place. But for so many people we take "guys" or "he" as a matter of course. I agree with you, I like the word "Actor" too.
Try this experiment--See what happens if you use the following words "Goddess bless you." instead of "God Bless you." Most people will respond because they have been taught that divine is MALE. Yoga Kat.
