Amiga Shooters with Ash #6 Hybris

Now this is a classic from 1988. From the opening music to the game itself, it has class. Decent graphics, meaty sounding explosions and that give it one more go appeal. A kind of forerunner to the better known Battle Squadron. Very hard to find these days but deserves to be in any amiga collection. Here is most of the first level and a bit of the second.

Thanks for the nostalgia trip! I remember this game being on demo in our local computer shop, in Exeter. The owner was a nice chap, and let us annoying kids loiter in the store, and sample the Amiga games. We were 12 or 13, and were nowhere near affording an Amiga; and Hybris was one of the demo games we played, and drooled over, on a wet Saturday afternoon.

it's aged well - almost as well as Helen Mirren.

Looks good for its time, although the GFX seem to lack variety. Reminds me of Battle Squadron....
