Two rather rare All India Radio stations on the 60 meter band received in Germany during a DXpedition to the fields on 31 December 2011: AIR Shillong on 4970 kHz and Gangtok on 4835 kHz.
Receiver: AOR AR7030+ with 40 meter longwire antenna
Distances: 7267 km (Shillong) and 6896 km (Gangtok)
@pesnyaozemle Thanks! I also think so, at least Gangtok seemed to have an extended programme on New Year's Eve (they're usually scheduled to sign off at 1600z). They were especially rare in Europe before they changed from 90 m to 60 m. I don't know exactly how difficult they are actually on 4835 as I can't receive weaker signals at home anymore due to increasing noise level. At least I haven't received them very often, I think it's just the the second time. QRM from 4840 was heavy.

Oh, great ! They are maybe big new year presents from India ! Especially Gangtok on 4835kHz is rather difficult to catch here in Japan.
