Dog almost gets hits by car

While driving to a developing storm system I was shooting video to test some of the camera settings. Ironically just as I was doing this a dog decided to bound out from the side of the road. I saw the dog running but did not think it would actually cross the line into my lane which it did.

The dog and my bumper missed contacting each other by about 2 feet.

The moral of the story is keep your dog on a leash or under control near busy roads. Given the fact I was doing about 90km/h the dog would have likely died on impact not to mention the owner would have had a repair bill for any damage to my bumper.

OK first off it is not the dogs falt it is the owners and Second you are good driver if you missed tht dog. Also you planned this. you can tell becouse how come you had the vidio camera???

Hello, thanks for the comments. Just to clarify this was actually not planned at all, the video camera was only recording because it had been giving trouble earlier so I shot about 10 seconds of test video to make sure it was okay when this incident occurred. There is actually sound in the real video where we are discussing the camera problems but for some reason YouTube kept removing it from the video. Either way I did miss the dog but just barely, the tires were screeching!

But, as the title suggests, a dog did in fact nearly get hit by a car.
