From the time my brother Maurice and I began dancing as kids, we idolized the Nicholas Brothers. We, like many before us, aspired to be "The Next Nicholas Brothers." Ha! An aspiration unfulfilled. Oh no. Nobody - no tap act, no two brothers, no duo - could be "The Next Nicholas Brothers." Better to aspire to reinventing the tap shoe.
