I APPRECIATE THAT I WENT A LITTLE OVER THE TOP WITH THIS NICE POLICE LADY AND AT THE TIME WHEN I WAS PUT ON THE SPOT AND THE ADRENALIN WAS SURGING THROUGH MY VIENS I GOT A TINY BIT AGGRESSIVE...IM NOT USUALLY LIKE THIS AND IM USUALLY QUITE POLITE. BUT IN THE MOMENT THIS IS HOW IT TURNED OUT.
1 the Communications Act 2003 makes it an offence to install or use a television receiver to watch or record any television programmes as they're being shown on television without a valid TV Licence (ACT NOT A LAW, YOU ONLY NEED A LICENSE FOR LIVE BROADCASTS)

2 All of this content -- and the television channels, radio stations and online spaces where audiences can find it -- is paid for by the licence fee, allowing BBC's UK services to remain free of advertisements and independent of shareholder and political interest.
We aim to collect the fee efficiently and fairly in order to deliver value for money for licence fee payers. In 1991 collection costs came to 6.2% of the total fee collected. By 2009/10 we had reduced this to 3.5%, allowing more money to go towards new content and services.
The Government has now frozen the fee at £145.50 until the end of the current BBC Charter period in 2016.

As I understand it, if you have a tv in the house, connected to anything or not, you need to pay for a licence. When it's switched on they can tell outside in their little van that you have one. I could be wrong.

Good on yer. Everyone should have a personal "good quality" camera strapped to them at all time for those moments when you need an independent witness. It's amazing when re watching something u realise how much went on u did not take in.
