@Wheelerdealer1 I've been taught from an Aviation degree that lower frequency radio waves travel through the atmosphere over much greater distances than higher frequency waves. I don't know what your options are for radio controllers, but I would think the lowest possible frequency would travel the farthest.

do you use water compartments for negative bouyancy? that wiuld mean you have to have compressed gas to force the water out when its time to resurface... but since this is a really bug model i suppose however youre doin it, your control mus he fairly more sophisticated than those little toys in the store

@privatepinkbits Radio reception will go down 20-30 feet in fresh water and it will work at that depth.
