Please read my Description before you comment on my video.

AZ Plate # 109 XEA For those that encourage cycling through a variety of ways thank you.
For those who feel they're above the rest of society. For those that don't believe in freedom.. Or you feel the need to discourage cycling through your ridiculous complaints. Please read the following.

1.
To those who complain about the 3 percent of all the traffic on the road. Get real. Go worry about the other 97 percent. Yes a cyclist can do annoy things. There're many reasons why this may be. Often times the person's complaints have the cyclist doing nothing wrong. I also don't read in the paper that cyclists are killing people.

2.
For those that feel cycling creates a danger. I suggest you cite some proof. As for uncontrollable swerving to avoid a cyclist that is the motorist's fault. The motorist is to control the automobile at all times, and drive at a speed that they can stop in time.

169.14 SPEED LIMITS, ZONES; RADAR.
Subdivision 1.Duty to drive with due care.

No person shall drive a vehicle on a highway at a speed greater than is reasonable and prudent under the conditions. Every driver is responsible for becoming and remaining aware of the actual and potential hazards then existing on the highway and must use due care in operating a vehicle. In every event speed shall be so restricted as may be necessary to avoid colliding with any person, vehicle or other conveyance on or entering the highway in compliance with legal requirements and the duty of all persons to use due care.

3.
I suggest if you don't like the laws in regarding cyclists on the roads. Change them. Be prepared to spend lots of time and money fighting that challenge. Considering motorists have yet to change the laws in a 100 years. Change them or abide by them.

4.
Motorists don't pay for the roads and no road user does. We all accept a subsidy to use the road. Motorists just need the biggest subsidy of all of the road users.
http://dc.streetsblog.org/2011/01/04/actually-highway-builders-roads-don%E2%8...

Motorist also don't pay for any of the consequences they create. To which society must pick up the tab. Obesity, pollution, and environmental destruction to name a few.

5.
I suggest you look up the laws which govern you. As a motorist you are required to know all the laws. I find it shocking many of the comments below have no clue what a law is.

Here is an example of my laws I follow when I ride my bicycle in Minnesota.

1. A bicycle has all the rights of a motorist

2. Anything to which doesn't apply to a bicycle is exempt (speed limit)

169.222 Operation of bicycle. Subdivision 1. Traffic laws apply. Every person
operating a bicycle shall have all of the rights and duties
applicable to the driver of any other vehicle by this chapter,
except in respect to those provisions in this chapter relating
expressly to bicycle and in respect to those provisions of this
chapter which by their nature cannot reasonably be applied to

1. You do not have to ride your bike to the right side of the road all the time. Please read all the reasons a cyclist may not want to do so to protect themselves.
A narrow lane is less than 14 feet. 3 foot rider, 8 feet truck, 3 foot buffer.

Subd. 4. Riding on roadway or shoulder. (a) Every
person operating a bicycle upon a roadway shall ride as close as
practicable to the right-hand curb or edge of the roadway except
under any of the following situations: (1) when overtaking and passing another vehicle proceeding
in the same direction; (2) when preparing for a left turn at an intersection or
into a private road or driveway; (3) when reasonably necessary to avoid conditions,
including fixed or moving objects, vehicles, pedestrians,
animals, surface hazards, or narrow width lanes, that make it
unsafe to continue along the right-hand curb or edge.

  • Well, if you have to explain to someone why driving their bike down a busy city street is not safe, your already wasting your time. As Ron White puts it "You cant fix stupid......."

  • Isn't this what we have sidewalks for?

  • use the fucking sidewalks, nobody cares that you're in your homesexual tight outfits, biking on a tuesday afternnon because you dont need to work, roads are for automobiles. i hope you cyclists don't reproduce to pass on you horrible genes

  • use the sidewalk douche... you're only doing that because you can due to an old ass law. you're endangering everyone else and yourself.

  • @KatoKid85 That's absurd, you go get squeezed not I !

  • @KatoKid85 Taking the lane is a legal option, and a proven safety technique.

  • @bodybait The last thing anyone needs on their conscious is the death of a cyclist, driver, or both. So for everyone's safety, please stay to the side of the road.

  • @KatoKid85 Yea I agree that we must succumb to the needs a huge resource hog. Built and designed are two different meanings to which you want to apply to "built". The roads are designed for everyone including pedestrians, but they're built for semi trucks.

  • @bodybait So you agree with me. They were not built for bicylists. Thanks.

  • @bodybait I do have an education!! I guess there your bike laws aren't that strict, because here it's the law and this law was on my driving computer test where I scored a 96.

  • @meltplasma2 Port Angeles, Washington, just put in these really nice bike lanes because we were getting too many accidents where cars were hitting bicycles. Since with the new bike lanes, I haven't heard any car and bike accident.
