NEW CARRIE THE MUSICAL SOCIAL NETWORK.. Help it grow... carriethemusical.ning.com

This was an interesting prologue. The overture would have sounded really bad on a piano and the london score doesn't leave much to work with, since the overture was rewritten a few times during the London run.

  • TheatreKid00, true Todd Graff has ties to Stagedoor (the film "Camp," which he wrote and directed, was based on and filmed at Stagedoor) but this is the first I've ever heard of his involvement with THIS production. According to the Unofficial Site for the musical (which has a full cast and crew list for Stagedoor), it was directed by Jeff Murphy.

  • I am going to look into this.. Thanks BrosKpr and TheatreKid00. Keep the comments coming.

  • one of the original prologues, before it was the Our Father in the workshop script that can be found among carrie memorabilia available, was in fact the pledge of allegiance.

For those who don't know, this production was directed by Todd Graff, the workshop Tommy.

  • Thanks! That is a really great peice of information.. It's hard to know what is true about the show with the tidbits of information floating around..

  • I was in this production, Jeff Murphy was our director.

  • not bad....izzy einsidler designed the lighting....very cool production

  • The brilliant Jeff Murphy, ladies and gentleman!

  • i actually like the choreography. the oringal seems over the top. its carrie for goodness sake, dancing and carrie don't fit together in the first place.

  • do you have the entire show to post of YouTube please?

  • Really good!

  • did they do'' wotta night '' in this production of carrie like the original ?

  • Same here. I know it is not an adult production, but the choreography could have been more sophisticated. It is very amateur and "youth theatre."

  • Tae Bo! Love it!

  • why do they say the american pledge thingy. isnt it the music for the overture then into In?
