@devaztator01 egyptians certainly interacted with that civilization and engaged in an exchange of knowledge, otherwise the great pyramids, although built by the egyptians of 4,500 years ago, would not have been aligned to signify that ancient time period of 12,500 years ago. This documentary is just trying to say that Egypt's knowledge is much older and deeper, and dates back way more than 4,500 years. :)

This theory does not make exact sense, what about the position of the river 10,000 years ago?

@spellbound1948 ergo, the secret chamber underneath the sphinx.

Calm down Hippee, no need to get Radical.

@devaztator01 The head was re-carved by the Egyptians later on. That would explain why the head is so small compared to the rest of the body. They chipped so much of it away in the process!

i do believe that the sphinx is more then 10.000 years old but there is just one little thing i dont understand. The pharaoh "crown" makes its appearance on the sphinx head. Could the mean that pharaoes existed with the civilization that lived 10.000 years ago?

@cc1sportingtorver too late I've already been and you know what he told me! It was a gaunt super bloody market! The Egyption version of Tescos, and one big parking lot! Oh well just goes to show we've all got it wrong lol
The body is very very old, it used to be a giant lion from the age of leo, the head is new.

@ekschiz - 5,000 years? It's actually 12,000 years, possibly more. Certainly from the Geological information and Astrological information they have serious evidence that they were complete by 10,500BC
The Sphynx originally had the head of the lion to represent the constellation of Leo.
"Solid Evidence"? what carbon dating? what a load of crap!!! Bloody Egyptologists!
