911 Deaths v. Iraqi Civilian Deaths

Visual comparison of Iraqi civilian deaths as a result of the 2003 invasion and subsequent occupation, and victims of the 911 terrorist attack.

The estimated deaths used is among the more reliable. figures like 60k to 80k are for _confirmed_ deaths. The actual number is much higher. While numbers over one million are sometimes given, these numbers may be artificially high. The number used in the video is respectable and the result of hard work and principled methodology.

Although I'm not sure what 9/11 has to do with Iraq. but, he number of civilian deaths in Iraq is disgusting, no matter WHAT the exact number is. Every human on the planet should feel ashamed.

Civilian deaths are high. But what this video fails to disclose is how many of those deaths are caused by Coalition forces and which deaths are caused by insurgents. Insurgents if u read this here is some advice. The faction that wins over the people will nearly always win. Hence blowing urselves up in Market places does not seem to be the best strategic move.

I'm guessing you took this from the Lancet Report. Very disingenuous. There are MULTIPLE other, much more CREDIBLE studies that have been done that completely contradict its and the ORB's studies. The real number AS OF NOW IN 2010, is estimated between 90,000 - 120,000. Atrocious, yes. But nowhere NEAR this number of >600,000 stated in this video.

*Side note: Lancet uses ORB as its sole source to report on the civilian deaths in Iraq.
