There was some kind of mix up with my google password and I can't upload to this account anymore. I have uploaded a number of guitar lesson videos on jdmguitar100

from one john morgan to another, this is sweet :D haha

My dad has one of your cd's, and there's this one song "Can You Stay" that I absolutely love, yet I can't find it anywhere.
-
No problem. Always glad to hear someone enjoys my music, even if they've told me before:-)
-
Excellent ... but then I suspect you already know that I love your music.
-
I caught you playing this song last Sunday at the arts festival in downtown Columbus. This was either the last or second to last song and i was very impressed, to say the least, to hear this piece of work.
-
Always glad to hear about someone's musical spark getting rekindled. Wishing you the best on your musical journey!

Very tasty song and technique. Heard this a few years ago and tried learning via TAB, and promptly gave up - as was too difficult.
Thought I'd have a go at trying to figure it out be ear a week ago. Am half way through, and my fingers are now nice and calloused (after blistering on day two!).
Hopefully I'll nail it, to a certain degree anyway, in the next week.
John, thanks for rekindling my interest in the geetar. Beautiful piece of music you got there.

very nice man!

Came here looking for Clive Caroll and Black Moon but this is very nice...now I'm lost

Often I use a foot stool. It prevents having to twist slightly and seems to have some ergonomic benefits. In this position you are holding the guitar at four points while keeping your hands free to play.
-
John, I see you holding the guitar in almost a classical position without a footrest.
I have upper back problems when playing with the bout of the guitar placed on my right leg.
This is encouraging!
Thanks!

Thanks for buying the CDs.

Yes, I do feel blessed. I've been a Christian for many years and God has been very gracious in many ways. You may mean do I feel blessed with musical talent. I've found that most every one is musically blessed to some degree. A few people figure out how to spend enough time with their guitar to begin to understand how it works. The blessing is being able to put in the time and effort it takes to look like you don't have to practice:-)

ignore my last post when I said "Ummm yes..." that was meant to be a reply.... :(
-
Wow, nice video. I bought two of your albums, The Journey and Capture The Night and it is amazing work. I have a question for you. Do you feel blessed? I would, with the amount of talent you have. hehe.

You may have me mixed up with another John Morgan (there are a lot of us running around:-) I haven't released anything with that title. Hope you are able to track it down.

John, again, great song. Question: Did you record the record version in a single take?

Glad you like it. The original was selected from several complete takes and then cleaned up with a bit of digital editing.

You have a lot of skill fingerplucking on that right hand. :) But I'm sure you know that.
Can't wait for your next music video!

There are a couple new videos that you can find by searching "The Morgan After". It's a bunch of folks who are part of a weekly jam session I coordinate.
