For years, Ben Chandler has been promising to create jobs. Has he succeeded, or is he full of hot air? http://seebenspend.com Ben Chandler, Democrat Congressman, Kentucky
Loosely Related Observation: Have you noticed that 10-15 years ago, politicians stopped promising us that everyone would have a job, and started promising us that everyone who wants a job will have one? That's a subtle but important change in attitude. As a nation, we seem to have institutionalized the notion that some will work to pay for some who won't. Implicit in that is the dangerous notion that you don't need a job because government will take care of you.
Jobs? It's just empty political rhetoric. Mom, apple pie, truth, justice and the American way. It sounds nice.
Instead of jobs, Ben might as well promise us rainbows. No, wait. The laws Ben is passing as part of the Democratic agenda, to the best of my knowledge, do not destroy rainbows.
