  • Sounds like 4/4 to me... ?

  • 6/8s is basically triplets on the ride/HH. Or for a basic sound, hit the snare every third hit on the ride instead of every second like 4/4

  • No I believe that 6/8 time is 6 beats and the type of beat is the 8th note. This is not what 6/8 sounds like.

  • It is , a drum teacher asked me to upload the original video file so he could show his students. You are the first person watching this to say otherwise.

  • i just sploooooged all over..thanks a lot! haha

  • i dont know it also sounds like a 7/4 with a groove tho but then i can be wrong

  • @Etwizzy99 no, 6 eighth notes per bar=3/4 not 6/8. In 6/8, a dotted quarter note gets one beat instead of a quarter note, thusly creating a triplet feel. This is why 6/8 feels like 2/4, 9/8 like 3/4 (in most cases, sometimes 9/8 is played in subdivisions of 9 rather than subdivision of 3) and 12/8 feels like 4/4.

  • To everyone saying it's not 6/8, he's obviously a good drummer, so he most likely knows the difference between 4/4 and 6/8.

  • @Etwizzy99 lol this is definitely 6/8... not 4/4

  • timing sucks.

    work with a metronome.

  • for this video it was stock on both sides.. Tama Heads, Ive switched it out for a Evans Hydraulic on the beater side now, it sounds about the same, its the pillow that does all the work on that drum, and the beater patch helps too.

  • I like it whatever the timing.

  • Hmmmm i think your teacher sucks a fat cock every night
