All of the video footage, as well as the audio soundtrack, was produced by students from Paul Revere School and the Gary Comer Youth Center in the Greater Grand Crossing Neighborhood of Chicago.
In our film we chose to spotlight diabetes, one of the potential consequences of poor nutrition and dietary habits. Diabetes is a prevalent health issue for people in our community, and we hope that a focus on fruits and vegetables in our school cafeteria will help prevent such a high incidence of diabetes in the next generation.
We also recognize that food access is crucial to the health of our community, and that we can work to plant and harvest fresh food even in our urban environment.
We hope you enjoy our contribution to the video contest.
I enjoyed the video. I was impressed by the work of the students. Hopefully, they will create more videos in the future.
