Rare look at classic autism, self-injury and epilepsy in handsome intelligent non verbal young man.......Complex case has baffled professionals for nearly a decade. Autistics like this are extremely intense to deal with . They are behaviorally fragile. That means they require continuous daily, sometimes hourly, acute and pro-active interventions. Some are simple. For instance, offering a ride on swing for vestibular stimulation, or a chew toy to release tension. Or proper hydration to avoid meltdowns from not being able to say he's thirsty. Or exercise, to keep good endorphins going. Or trampoline bouncing for sensory therapy. All these things must go on during the day, so it takes a lot of people to keep something so intense and critical for the person. Our family has been doing most of this alone for years with minimal help. It's nuts. We're fighting again and again for more support and help, because we know he can get better. He takes a lot of work. It can be done. But it has to be done in shifts. People burn out really quickly in cases like this, unless there is rotating staff. That's always been problem for severely autistics with challenging behaviors. People abandon them. Give up on them. Toss them in institutions where they are drugged, shackled and forgotten. I'm trying to show the world that we don't have to be so primitive. Nobody on the autism spectrum should be forgotten, especially those who can't speak for themselves. Sleep deprivation is a major problem for families dealing with this type of autism. A few breaks here and there, makes a world of difference.

  • @papasmurfXXX Nope this is the real thing. It's sad that people actually do post videos mocking autistic people.

  • It is a sad day when I see religion get in the way of human compassion.

  • @TheHalo3spartan117 It's okay, sometimes something deeply disturbing can cause people to laugh. I'm sure you don't mean it to be mean. At least you were courageous enough to watch.

  • @SUPERTRUPER91111 You should be aborted. Jerk.

  • @BluestreakPictures Please shut up. She is doing the best she can for a severely disabled adult.

  • @eastender86 And what gives YOU the right to make that call? Jerk.

  • @MightyFire Wow, you should be banned from Youtube for such vile hate speech. Meanwhile, no weapon formed against me or my kids will ever prosper

  • @Moncantha I'm not opposed to cannabis for treatment. I think it's probably safer, according to my research, than most conventional drugs

  • @eastender86 There is no happiness in my autistic son, you claim? How incredibly ignorant and myopic. The reason I put these videos up is to show how even though in ONE video he may appear beyond hope, there are ten other videos showing there is ALWAYS hope for ALL autistics...it's people like you that keep them down.

  • @JINAYKHAN Thanks for the kind words...

  • @kgaccount

Now that you've mentioned "god", you and your kid should both be killed
