Bill Rancic Calls Giuliana a "Trooper" After Breast Cancer Surgery

Hey there, I'm Karli Bulnes. Giuliana Rancic is home after undergoing a double lumpectomy. Husband Bill Rancic gives an update on how she's doing in today's PopSugar Rush.

"she's a trooper, she pulled through it and was kind of relieved to get it over with and get the cancer out."

Bill Rancic told the Today show this morning that wife Giuliana Rancic did great during her two-hour breast cancer surgery and is now at home recovering.

"We sadly found out that I have the early stages of breast cancer."

The E! News anchor just appeared on the same morning show on Monday to make her personal health announcement. By Tuesday she was headed for surgery and appeared to be in good spirits based on these photos Bill shared of G smiling in her hospital gown. Now, Bill says Giuliana's post-op plan includes a doctor's visit tomorrow and radiation starting soon. Beyond that...

"We kick off 2012 with a new outlook on life and we're ready to take on the world."

The Twitter world is certainly on Giuliana's side. In addition to many fans, celebrities such as Lea Michele and Kourtney Kardashian have taken to their accounts to send messages of support such as: "praying for giuliana rancic and her battle with breast cancer. I have no doubt she will win this battle. Much love and lots of prayers," as well as: "sending love to giuliana rancic today. You're a very strong woman. Thinking of you. Xo."

Bill also revealed that Giuliana plans to return to work next week... We definitely wish her a very speedy recovery!
