Review of Ultra Light Bike Mirror by D+D Oberlauda

Ultra Light BIke Mirror by D+D Oberlauda. Made in Germany. About $25US

This is a very light cycling mirror with mutliple mounting possibilities due to its flexible mounting system. Because it is so light, vibration is kept to a minimum. Adjustment is easily accomplished by a ball and joint which makes manual adjustment very easy. Installation is a breeze. The mirror surface is convex which causes distortion of the field of view making judging distance a bit difficult. But it does fulfill its main purpose of letting you know of approaching traffic. Of the many mirrors I've tried, I like this very much.

I'm still loving mine. But I also got a helmet mirror that I like too. No vibration at all and clear as a bell. Just takes some getting used to. It's called the Monkey Mirror. You can Google it.

I like them both. The Oberlauda has larger field of view but is an extra thing on your handlebar. Monkey mirror has it's own peculiarities. Ahhh, so many choices :-)
