The new school year has started in Beslan - four days later than in the rest of Russia. Three years ago, as children returned to class, terrorists laid siege to the school in the southern Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. More than 1,200 people were taken hostage, 334 of them were killed.

  • twentyjan, You do not solve the problem by causing hurt and pain to more childeren. There is no excuse for this act. I would say this is the single most horrible terrorist act that's been committed and there's no excuse for it. I am not Russian, it doesn't matter where those kids are from or what, they are childeren, innocent childeren. SHAME ON THOSE ADULTS for doing this.

  • This is the most heinous, cruel act ever in the history of mankind. A monstrousity beyond holocaust proportions. These children they were pure angels, pure souls who were happy on their first day of school. Anybody justifying this must die.

    Ha, what logic.

I always find it comical to see people with a purist attitude, that advocate murder.

  • @MrBeefmuncher My little cousin was in that school at the time.. and he died... you lot dont even know how it feels... RIP little guy.

  • @Durancrazy =)

  • @ThePoliticalFreak agreed.

  • @Durancrazy Oh, did you hear about the atrocities committed by the Serbian army during the Croat war? The Serb army raped little girls in their family houses, in front of their parents. So before you spill your pro-Russian propaganda, think about the other side of the story first. Just face the other fact that the Russians, too, are corrupt as fuck.

  • @Durancrazy I hate both the Russian militia and the Chechen militia. I'd start my own group to fight them both if I had the authority. :)

  • @Durancrazy Once again, I'm not trying to justify things. I'm bringing up a simple fact. Though, I guess your right when you say there have been child casualties in war and there has never been a group that has directly taken hostages -- I'll give you that. But killing children is killing children, and the Russian militia has done that too. I am just simply bringing up a fact. Do you think I'd try to justify such an atrocity? It's actually offensive for you to say such garbage.

  • @ThePoliticalFreak No, I am sorry you are trying to justify this act by saying Russians killed childeren too. Again Russians did not go into a school and take children hostage with bombs wrapped around their wastes and holding machine guns on them. End of story. Every country that has been at war has somehow killed children, but not like this by hostage taking and terrorizing. I can compare this to what the Nazis did to the Jewish children.

  • @Durancrazy Read the first sentence of my comment. What don't you understand about "I'm not trying to justify anything". If you claim that "Chechnya" has killed numerous Russian children; Russia has done the same thing whilst bombing Grozny. The number of Children that were killed by the Russian military super seeds the amount of Children that died during Beslan. By the way 'Chechnya' didn't do this -- separatist Islamists DID. Just like 'Russia' didn't bomb the children. The militias did.

  • @ThePoliticalFreak anything*
