He's using a different technique. He's using a mix of pushing them out of balance, and Sensen no sen, moving slightly before the opponent starts his attack...

If you're in an attacking move, you're trapped inside it. If your opponent then fakes a punch, you can't react by blocking it, because you're trapped inside your movement. You must stop attacking and retreat. You can also keep the attack going, but most people are too afraid of getting hurt so they won't risk that.

Dont want to jump to conclusions and really need translation to be able to judge it. But then again you are entitled to your opinion, obviously. But if you could further the conversation by adding a bit more than just opinions, that would be most useful
