Pauline and George Chapin were found murdered in their Rancho Palos Verdes home on October 3, 2000. There was no sign of forced entry and nothing was taken from the couple's home, however they were both viciously beaten. The circumstances suggest that the Chapins knew their killer or killers. Moreover, the ferocity of their beatings could indicate that anger and rage were factors in the murders.
Anyone with information about the unsolved murders should contact Sergeant Bill Marsh at the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Homicide Bureau: (323) 890-5500.
@mdlman583 That's what I thought. They must of had a big life insurance policy someone couldn't wait to get their hands on. The Detective seemed like he knew more about the case but didn't want to say too much to the public.
