Rothwell starts with a few probing jabs and then lands a nice right hand to Rodriguez's body. Rodriguez nods almost in approval. They clinch and Rothwell backs his man into a corner. Rodriguez tries to jump into a guillotine but Rothwell works his way out. Rothwell mixes in some uppercuts that just miss their mark.

Rodriguez flicks out a leg kick and catches Rothwell in the groin. Rodriguez seems unconvinced that the kick was low, but Rothwell shouts at him to watch the replay on the big screen. Rodriguez is showing signs of fatigue as the round nears its end.

Round 2

Rothwell seems to have gained confidence in this round, committing more to his punches. He is backing Rodriguez up with sharp punch combinations, keeping Rodriguez off balance. Rothwell back Rodriguez into the corner again and Rodriguez tries another guillotine choke. Rothwell passes Rodriguez's guard and may even take his back here.

They get back to their feet and Rothwell is on the attack. Rodriguez has a noticeable bruise forming beneath his left eye, and is starting to show signs of wear. The round ends with Rothwell coming forward.

Round 3

Rothwell is clearly the more confident fighter, throwing punches at will and landing with greater frequency. Rodriguez tries the same guillotine choke in the corner, but Rothwell defends and does some damage from his guard. Rothwell moves to side mount and continues to land punches. Rothwell is moving for the full mount but Rodriguez defends.

The referee stands the two fighters up and Rothwell just misses with a high kick, then follows up with a two-punch combo that back Rodriguez up. Rodriguez throws back, yelling at Rothwell in the final seconds. These two are going at each other with everything they have, trading blows even after the bell. Rothwell raises his hand and it appears he will get the decision victory.

Ricco beat Andrei Arlovski back in the days when he used to be fit.. Now hes fat as hell, Its such a shame.

@funkeekatt Unfortunately, I don't have any photos of him at that weight, but according to an article from 2006, he is quoted as saying that he gained all that weight after the UFC.

However there is video of when he fought Ron Waterman in 2006. He weighed in at 300 lbs. and in the video it shows. Also when he appeared on Human Weapon, I don't know his weight but he was big.

From what I read since about 2009 he's slimmed down to about 218 lbs. Hopefully one day he'll be back in the UFC again.

I remember not seeing ricco since tim silvia killed him then i wached him fight in strike force and i was shocked he isn't the fastest guy in mma but he has the giggest belly that never stops movinglol
