Mass Bluebottles attack hundreds at Bondi!

During the annual North Bondi Classic swiming race, hundreds of swimmers hit a mass swarm of bluebottles, halting the race and causing hysteria at the beach. Bondi Lifeguards had to not only rescue the swimmers but treat the painful stings as well.

I remember when I was younger that I was with my mom swimming in the ocean in Honduras and all of a sudden I felt a knife made of electricity stab into my foot and leg, I got out of there as soon as possible. I went to the Hotel's bar and a sweet African-American rubbed a lemon on my foot and leg, and he told me that a jelly fish had stung me. From that moment on I never step foot in that ocean again, it was the worst pain of my life. :'(

@beaboyy It's not that they're consciously choosing to 'attack', it's people running into their dangling tentacles which can be up to 10 to 50 meters long and virtually invisible. Additionally, they're unable to move themselves in any one direction, so it's the wind and water currents that pushed them into a body of water this close to humans.
