  • die fledermaus is absolut great !

  • This part doesn't do justice to Ms. Te Kanawa's voice. The role is just too big for her, and the strain is evident. The staging is pretty, at least. And she looks nice.

  • @StillClassic yes... I thought it would be popular.. enjoy :). It is a good one!

  • One of my all time favourites! I have loved this aria for so many years now! Such good wholesome fun! I send my kind, warm and ever humble regards,

  • oh my... such beautiful hair

  • I am no great Schwarzkopf fan, but in this aria she is absolutely UNBEATABLE. And yes, Dame Kiri does switch to Hungarian for the fast part, which I think is just wonderful!

  • @tealovesrob Exactly. I saw Renee Fleming at a concert and couldn't understand her even though she sang in English.

  • I'm sorry... Kiri needs counting lessons. Or "watching-the-conductor" lessons.

  • Madonna benedetta! Terribile.

  • loaded with emotion... wht a vocal inheritance. HURRAH!
