Alot of Cat D4D's were made in Japan. Mine was. It's a 47H and it was made by Mitsubishi at Sumitomo heavy yards in Nagoya for Caterpillar Pacific
Alot of people(even cat experts) still don't believe that Cat dozers and Graders and other machiney has been made ALL over the world in many countries for many years. It's not a secret nor a secret deal.
Imagine if you needed a dozer in Australia. It's cheaper for the customers if Cat builds them near the customer, eg My D4D 47H.

Haha, ergonamic. Great piece of machiney there. Love old iron. Not too sure I like the huge muffler on it, but I dont have to run it all day either.

YARRR another old jewl..lol..dont seem to run too bad actually...you can expect some squeeks from a machin thats probably 20 years old. nice
